an old lady at the bank
it was raining ,
and i walked as quickly as possible with my mates to the bank
waited a long while and after getting everything sorted out ,
i sat near the entrance
waiting for my friend
An old lady
with soft white hair, pleasant looking face and holding a walking stick,
walked slowly towards where i am sitting
there was two other indian guys
and there was no other seats left
I stood up and offered her my seat
She was pleased
She look ill and weak
"Are you alright " , i asked
She smiled at me and held my hand ,
"i m fine dear, thank you very much "
i stood quitely beside her
and then i looked at her
she held my hand again and told me that people are complaining something about her and the queue is long.
and that she is not feeling very well
i couldnt really get what she said, it was soft
she stood up a few times,
to check on her husband queuing up on behalf of her
"i will look out for you , don't worry " i told her to calm her down
she smiled
"Yes, sure. You can see better than me of course . I am blind"
i was shocked , looking straight into her eyes
"i am half blind"
i suddenly felt really sorry for her .
she stood up again
she decided to get back to her husband
" let me lead you to get over there" i told her
she held my hand close to her and said
"Its okay dear, i have to be independent "
she waved at me
and she left.
